Les 40 ans du Barillet
Created in Béziers, Le Barillet celebrates forty years of a unique theatrical adventure that has become a recognised reference both in France and internationally. A rich and inventive work, it unfolds through 144 variations in a wide range of styles, combining humour, poetry and boldness. Around twenty variations are presented this evening. A true symbol of popular and vibrant theatre, this anniversary project invites audiences of all ages to (re)discover an emblematic creation, reflecting artistic dynamism and ever-renewed imagination. This new production benefited from a residency at the Théâtre des Franciscains. With the support of the City of Béziers. ROG 26/27-4 - BROADWAY RYTHM
Where every musical adventure begins: a melody, a rhythm. Accompanied on stage by a jazz trio, Emma Kate Nelson takes us on an exceptionally powerful vocal and theatrical journey through the world of musical theatre. Choreography, tap dancing and other visual effects add rhythm and energy to this vibrant musical performance. Featuring some of the greatest composers of the genre — Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, Jerry Herman and George Gershwin — the programme invites audiences to (re)discover the great American repertoire of Broadway and MGM, while also enjoying a few hidden gems among the great jazz standards. Under the musical direction of Charlotte Gauthier, Emma Kate Nelson leads the performance alongside choreographers and world tap-dancing champions Dorel & Costel Surbeck. Blending glamour and whimsy, Les Caroline bring the spirit of music hall back to life with flair. Caroline Loeb and Caroline Montier, sparkling partners in crime, play, tease each other and delightfully revisit a much-loved repertoire, accompanied on piano by Vincent Gaillard. With witty one-liners, playful references and quirky numbers, the show swings, sparkles and keeps the laughter flowing, never taking itself too seriously. Like a dream in chiaroscuro, Les sœurs Papilles spread their wings at the heart of a whimsical cabaret. Two voices, perfectly in tune with one another, intertwine, whisper and soar in an elegant and distinctive creation where desire, freedom and mischief come together. Sometimes glamorous showgirls, sometimes rebels, the real-but-not-quite twins perform original songs by Jean-Marie Sénia, sketches and playful, offbeat interludes. From one scene to the next, moving between poetry and burlesque, they travel through a thousand different worlds and delicately explore themes of freedom, desire and identity. C’est sans compter sur la personnalité de Fred Radix, qui vous entraîne dans un spectacle OVNI, entre humour décalé, conférence burlesque et maîtrise prodigieuse du sifflet.
