CONCERT KLASSIK - LA BONNE CUISINE
La Compagnie Épicurieuse and Les Ostals present the Klassik season, blending classical music, theatre and experiences. La Compagnie Epicurieuse, founded by Maud Le Bourdonnec and Michaël Seigle in Béziers, creates immersive musical performances combining a pursuit of excellence, a desire to break boundaries, and a sense of humor. Les Ostals, charming historic houses in Béziers, are delighted to welcome these joyful and ambitious creators who are shaping the future. An operetta and song performance centered around the pleasures of fine dining. This culinary and lyrical show is structured like a festive meal, with amuse-bouches, starters, main courses and desserts, each paired with its finest selections. The recipe is both delightful and skillfully crafted. You will enjoy famous melodies as well as rarer or little-known pieces, such as Madimova’s aria, composed from a recipe for tournedos Rossini written by the composer himself! The Épicurieux duo invites you “to the table” for your greatest pleasure. JAZZ AUX OSTALS - FABULOUS BARNUM TRIO
The Fabulous Barnum Trio will settle at Les Ostals for its first performance in 2026. Cast: Jean-Marie Frédéric, guitar Eric Bretheau, drums Frédéric Tari, violin Group history: These three seasoned composers and musicians, who have long travelled across the world, share above all a deep and long-standing friendship, rare trust and complicity. A constant curiosity, vital energy, and a childlike joy in playing together. Unique in the world in its instrumental approach, the Fabulous Barnum Trio was born from this alchemy. Each of their concerts is a unique adventure. Melody, sound material and improvisation constantly interact, turning music into an untamed, living substance where anything can emerge at any moment. Like in cinema, Jean-Marie Frédéric, Éric Bretheau and Frédéric Tari open wide the screen of imagination. With them, we travel through distant lands, sometimes flooded with light, crossed by winds, or swept by rain. Poetic universes filled with an epic and tender breath, where the sacred meets the burlesque and power meets delicacy. To their compositions are added rhythms and great melodies from jazz, French chanson, pop and world music. For them, there is only one desire: to play! JAZZ AUX OSTALS - MEZCAL JAZZ UNIT 2
After 2025, Mezcal Jazz Unit, the most cosmopolitan quartet in the region, will set down roots for two evenings at Les Ostals for the 2026 season. They will return in winter for an intimate series of concerts in the salons of Les Ostals. Cast: Emmanuel de Gouvello, guitar Christophe Azema, saxophone Daniel Solia, drums Jean-Marie Frédéric, guitar Group history: Led by bassist and composer Emmanuel de Gouvello, the group MEZCAL JAZZ UNIT has been based near Montpellier since 1986. It performs original, hybrid music deeply connected to its time. The word “jazz” is understood here in its broadest sense, encompassing openness, non-conformism, the integration of other musical influences, and a spirit of adventure. The music is marked by the Mediterranean temperament of its musicians, echoes of traditional melodies, a clear attraction to the Orient, rock energy, vital humor, and a blend of restrained emotion and generous outbursts. MEZCAL is a live performance band. Its music is alive, based on pleasure and communion between musicians. Beyond the group’s technical mastery, musicianship and compositions, this quartet has the power to share a rare and essential emotion: complicity with the audience. MEZCAL has toured extensively in many countries, including France, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Romania, Hungary, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, as well as Burkina Faso, Morocco, Nigeria, India, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, the USA, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala.
